TOXIC MASCULINITY
A new definition to toxic masculinity.
Just another example of the media condemning masculinity and men.
And of course...
Once I got past my initial response... my second thought was how ridiculous and hilarious.
This man is a pioneer, pushed boundaries and is regarded as one of the innovative within the film makers.
A side from the irony of making movies such as the Terminator and Rambo 2.
How far would he have gotten without his own testosterone?
I can assure you... not far.
Low Testosterone symptoms include...
Fatigue.
Loss of drive and ambition.
Depression and apathy.
Low sex drive.
Difficulties with memory and concentration.
And unfortunately low testosterone is an very real problem in our society.
Our testosterone and sperm count levels in healthy men are dropping at an alarming rate.
Some studies showing as much as a 1% decrease per year.
I believe it comes from two fronts...
The physical environment (well documented ) - such as BPA plastics, pollutants, lack of exercise, low Vitamin D.
And
The mental environment - stress but also the conditioning that we receive from the media, about toxic masculinity and masculine traits.
Because a man that has a positive association with masculinity - generally exhibits the traits of; strong ambition and drive, and powerful action.
And this man will produce higher levels of testosterone as he meets and overcomes challenges. Compared to a man who is stuck believing these traits to be 'toxic masculinity'.
Men.
I encourage you to look for ways to increase your testosterone.
And to be aware of any conditioning that condemns men in any form.
Testosterone is not toxic.
High testosterone ( when in balance with other hormones ) is necessary in creating more productive men... and a productive society.
I will leave you with a final question...
Would we live in the technologically advanced society with the greatest levels of abundance ever experienced... if our men of past generations had low testosterone?
